Special Offerings from Interfaith.

Camper registration is FULL and we are delighted to have over 30 children of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh faiths joining us for this time of learning about one another's traditions through hands-on classes, STEAM activities, and fun and games!
There are a few ways that you can support this exciting new initiative:
We are still in need of volunteers! If you would like to serve as a small group leader, food prepper, crafter, or games leader, please reach out by emailing leadership@dougcointerfaith.org We will also need support with prepping materials prior to camp.
We need your support in gathering the various supplies necessary for educational and fun STEAM activities, so we've assembled a registry. Feel free to also share this with friends and family who may want to support camp! https://holycompanion.us22.list-manage.com/track/click?u=4b59a309e75ded37655cecb03&id=4f5b3681e6&e=beee192c7a
You can also help us make camp possible with a donation to the Interfaith Coalition. Just put "Friendship Camp" in the memo:
The room was full.
It's hard to guess how many people will be interested in a film screening about a mosque, a synagogue, a church, and an interfaith center over 500 miles away.
The room was full.
There was a buzz. A murmur. A sound that's hard to recognize these days — I think it was the sound of joy.
The room was full.

Yes, there were words of welcome, and glowing introductions, and rousing speeches, and centering prayers. And yes, the film was eye-opening and moving. And yes, the stories shared and the messages delivered from the stage were powerful and intensely relevant. But the star of the night wasn't an individual presenter or a particular keynote address.
The room was full.
Of hope.
Of peace.
Of sincere prayers — whispered in Arabic and Hebrew and English and more — for a healing we all long for in a time filled with too many tears.

The room was full.
And you filled it.
We can't thank you enough. Every person who showed up — the young and the wise, the resolved and the curious, the tired and the strong — you filled a room with hope and you revealed the true heart of a community.

It was our honor, as the Interfaith Coalition of Douglas County, to host Bonni and Ellie… and to have an opportunity to share their deeply inspiring film, Abraham's Bridge, with our community. And it was our honor to host you, the true stars of the evening, as we gathered in the universal spirit of divine hope.

We pray that this will be only the beginning of interfaith community and profound relationship here in our corner of the world.
On behalf of the entire coalition… from bottom of our hearts… thank you.
